where's yours hanging?
and this is our blog thing
Well, it's not really a blog, it's more of a news page which we're going to link to Facebook and Twitter. What we’re hoping to do is build some sort of cacoon community ‘thing’ where you can help us to make cacoons better and better - so if any of you have got any ideas for product improvements we’d love to hear your ideas . . . enjoy!

Just about getting through all the paper work and enquiries. Nearly there, so big apologies to everyone who’s been waiting for answers to questions etc . . , we honestly had no idea how popular the cacoon would be!

Hampton Court Flower Show amazing! Thank you so much to all of you who came to visit us, we had such a good time. And cacoons on the Beeb! Joe Swift in a cacoon! Thank you Joe. Thank you Beeb. But more importantly thank you all so much for trying us out and buying cacoons! Of course, we’re convinced that the cacoon IS great, but without your support we ain’t got nothing.

Found out that we’ve got a space at Hampton Court Flower Show – brill, but scarey, Nick’s got to build the stand in time! So I went to see Kings of Leon in Hyde Park instead and reckoned what they really need are some cacoons back stage!

And then I got a puncture on the A3 and, having finally stripped off all my wet gear, I had to get soaked again changing the wheel!

And it lashed down, spent the whole of Sunday wondering why on earth I was here, but met some great people, made some great contacts, bought a couple of bits and bobs myself and had my last wonderful exhibitor bacon buttie before the rain came in!

GDL over and we’ve been persuaded to go to Stansted House Garden Fayre (thank you Kieran), but to begin with they’re not so keen, that is until I show them what the cacoon looks like . . .

A week post Grand Designs Live. Just about got through all the paperwork. Got a lot to learn, but that's all part of the fun!
May 2011
Grand Designs is finally over! What a 9 days! Totally knackered, but the enthusiasm for cacoons is really something. I always knew this was something good, but not really that good. The interst is fantastic. So thank you to all of you who came up to talk to us and try a cacoon. No, not all of you went away with one, but the warm words and the encouragement that Nick and I received made us feel great too. We met so many wonderful people, some who really wanted to have a cacoon, but just couldn't, some who were in the middle of building, renovating crazy, amazing properties. One couple who are building their home arond an oak tree. Yes, 'around' an oak tree. Another family who've been living in a 'shack' (next to their renovation) through all that snow of last winter (2 kids and a dog and still time to fit in a cacoon - thank you). Loads of kids who simply wouldn't leave us alone (and one kid who's Dad 'lost him', but who's Mum said "I'll bet he's with those cacoon people" (he was). The crazy Essex lot with a Dad who tried to jump into the 1.8m cacoon suspended beneath two smaller ones - we caught him in time. The plasterer from Surrey and her mates (yes, 'her' mates). The Art Deco house in Devon and all those who wanted to hear about our 'not-so' crazy ideas about using canvas structures to create a unique extension to their homes for eating, playing, chilling and just hang-in-out. Thanks.
April 2011
Virtually at the end of the month and just got ourselves ready at Grand Designs Live. Even during set-up we had people coming up to us "those look great".
Big day starts tomorrow.

Cacoon launched in Canada at the Fall Cottage Life Show, and what a success!! Every member of our family really enjoyed our Cacoon up at our cottage on Papineau Lake last summer. I can't wait to see them popping up on lakes and backyards and spas across Canada!- Cynthia Thompson
Nick & Sarah swanning around in Indonesia armed with cacoon and on the hunt for the perfect cacoon location!
